Prometheus, the Greek god of fire, as in our units.
We start off with a custom lifetime warranty poly tank and plumb our suction line to the dead center of the tank for the best use of water both on and off road, unlike other manufacturers who just draft inside the rear wall. We dare you to ask our competitors about that! Our custom tanks have foam tanks not foam cells, which means you won’t lose any of your holding tank’s much-needed gallons.
When I, Ty Parker, first set out to build skid units I told myself that they had to have a minimum of three things: 100% stainless steel plumbing, hardware and manifolds. Working as an Engine Boss I realized when on the job, especially during the day, not only were we short staffed, but the VFDs we work with were as well. That’s why I insisted on a manifold instead of the octopus-maze of hoses and valves I had seen out in the fields. With a manifold, qualified firefighters from another department or agency could step up to the skid and find all the valves to operate it right in front of them, clearly marked. Add that to our standard pressure gauge right at eye level, a drain petcock for cold weather, and a PRV- Pressure Relief Valve, a safety standard.
That’s our standard and what our skid is built around.
